I remember a story of one of my favorite preachers shares.

He was once able to sit down with leaders from many different religions. Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, etc. With this unique opportunity he asked the collective group a question something along the lines of:

Do you guys think that God is at the top of a mountain and we are all just walking up different trails to reach the top?

The collective group said yes.

The man who represented Christianity says that this is the difference between my religion and yours. You speak of a God at the top of the mountain that we have to work our way to get to. Christianity speaks of a God that knows we will never be able to work our way to him, so he came down to us in the person of Christ... Every religion in the world outside of Christianity is one that tells you to do, yet Christianity is all about what's been done.

This person of Jesus changes literally everything. Jesus isn't just a philosophy to live by to get to heaven. He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE.

The reason i bring this up today is because this is the foundation of our faith. If there is no Christ, if there is no resurrection from the dead, there is no need be a Christian. But if it's true, Christ is worth our lives.
