Y’all have heard me say that I hate it when people say, “just have faith”. That isn’t good enough for me. Nowhere in the Bible does it say, “just have faith.” If we just answered every question with “just have faith” when a truly hard question that rocks us to the core is asked, our “faith” would crumble.
Rather in 1 Peter 3:15 the word says, “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,”
We are called to have a REASON for the hope in us. This reason is logical. It is rational.
So over the next couple weeks I’ll be walking through some truths that we believe as Christians and also why we believe those truths to be true.
A question I have for you today is… is your faith grounded upon reason or experiences? And when someone asks you why you are a Christian, how would you respond?
